COFRAC accredited laboratory
Socomec is accredited by the French Accreditation Committee (COFRAC – scope available at www.cofrac.fr), according to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, which enables Tesla Power Lab to conduct tests under COFRAC accreditation.
In addition, with the ILAC MRA mark on relevant test reports, COFRAC-accredited tests are internationally recognised.
Accreditation recognises our technical competence and organisational structure in the context of activities related to the accredited scope.
The accreditation covers activities carried out by SOCOMEC at its Tesla Power Lab technical facility.
An international reputation
In addition to having French accreditation, the laboratory is recognized by several international certification bodies, which attests to the quality and reliability of its work on a global scale.
The various certification bodies are:
• The laboratory has a CTDP (Client Test Data Program) Agreement with UL Solutions.
• It has a CTF (Customer Testing Facilities) Agreement with UL Solutions Demko.
• It has a WMT (Witnessed Manufacturer’s Testing) Agreement with DEKRA (EN and IEC standards)
These partnerships and recognitions are guarantees of the safety and quality requirements specific to each country or market segment.

Calibration and metrology laboratory
The metrology department manages the fleet of measurement devices for the Socomec group, totalling over 5,000 devices. It calibrates equipment for Socomec (ISO 9001) and the Tesla Power Lab laboratory (ISO 17025) and has its own reference standards connected to the international system.
Laboratory experts carry out calibrations and verifications of devices in the following areas:
• Electrical: multimeters, oscilloscopes, current clamps, and other devices measuring electrical constants.
• Temperature: thermometers, climate chambers, ovens, power monitoring devices
• Dimensional: calipers, gauges, rings.
• Force and Torque: torque wrench, scales, dynamometer.
Time & Frequency: timers, oscilloscopes.
